PROGRAMME OUTCOME (PO)


1) After the completion of BA, history scholarswill be able to distinguish betweenprimary and secondary sources and identifyand evaluate evidence

2) Students will demonstrate in discussion andwritten work their understanding ofdifferent peoples and cultures in pastenvironments and of how those cultureschanged over the centuries.

3) They will be able to produce their ownhistorical analysis of documents and developthe ability to think critically andhistorically when discussing the past

4) The study of history will give them theability to compare and contrast differentprocesses, modes of thoughts and modesof expression from different historical timeperiods and in differentgeographical areas.

5) Students will offer multi-causal explanationsof major historical developments based ona contextualized analysis ofinterrelated political, social, economic, cultural and intellectualprocesses

6) Students will be able to write an originalresearch paper that locates and synthesize relevant primary and secondarysources and has a clear, coherent and plausible argument,logical structure,proper references.

7) Students will present orally their researchor a summary of another's research in anorganized, coherent andcompelling fashion.
